KAMAL HAASAN APPROVES KKK

Kadamai Kanniyam Kattuppadu is an extravagant creation from the production house of AC Anandan, bringing director Shaji Kailash and actor RK together again after ‘Ellaam Avan Seyal’. The name has been legally procured from the yesteryear movie starring Sathyaraj and Geetha under Kamalhasan’s banner RajKamal Productions. The storyline is worked on Bollywood mega blockbuster ‘Ab tak Chappan’ starring Nana Patekar and the title has been rightfully approved by Kamal Haasan himself.

The story is about a straightforward and honest Police official. Shaji Kailash is known for adventurous and bold attempts on silver screen. This time, V Prabhakar, of Pokkiri fame, handles the script and dialogue. Madhurima, the glamour queen of the Telugu film industry, plays the lead actress and makes her debut in Tamil. Music is by Srikanth Deva and the editing is handled by the Shamjadh, assistant of the Don Max, who too makes his debut in Kollywood. Production is handled by KS Mayilvahanan.

Vivek adorns the comedy tracks and ‘Aaha’ lead actor Rajiv Krishna, who will be seen on screen after quite long, is the villain in KKK. Shammi Thilakan, son of Thilakan, ace actor of the Kollywood, Mollywood cinema industry.

RAJINIKANTH : I WILL GO IF DIRECTOR SHANKAR CALLS ME AGAIN

Rajinikanth, during the special interview telecast by a private satellite channel on Diwali, revealed that Shankar approached him with three stories – Robot/Endhiran, Sivaji and another film which is based on mystery of India and is about a hunchback.

Shankar was keen on casting with Rajini in Robot but the Superstar declined the offer thinking that he is being offered the villan role as there was a talk at that time that Shah Rukh Khan is being considered to play the lead role.

Rajini was also skeptical if would suit the scientist role and declined the offer. Then it was decided he would star in the Sivaji as it was a mass film that Rajini is used to.

After working with Shankar in Sivaji, the Superstar was so confident about the director’s capabilities that he agreed to star in the Robot/Endhiran. He also divulged that he took up the offer only because Shankar was wielding the megaphone.

So, do we get to see Shankar and Rajini joining hands for the third time as two of their ventures together have turned out to be blockbusters? Will the Superstar play the hunchback?

K S RAVI KUMAR UNSURE ABOUT DIRECTING ACTOR RAJINI

There have been reports that director KS Ravi Kumar will direct the feature film portions of Hara, an animation film which was earlier titled Sultan the warrior. Soundarya is directing the animated version of this film. But sources close to the director say that this is not official yet. Though KS Ravi Kumar has been discussing Hara with Rajini, whom he meets on a regular basis, he hadn’t actually signed the papers to direct the film.

We also hear from our sources in Kollywood, that Ochre Studios, the producers of Hara, will make a formal announcement on who will direct Hara’s feature film segment.

ASIN NOT KEEN ON KAAVALAN REMAKE IN HINDI

Asin is turning out to be Salman’s favorite actress. She played the female lead in the London Dream which had Salman Khan, following her success with the Aamir Khan starrer Ghajini. The actress then bagged another offer to share the screen space with Salman in the Telugu Ready remake, the shooting of which is still in the progress.

Salman, it has been reported, wanted to have Asin onboard for the Bodyguard remake after seeing her performance in Kaavalan with Vijay.

But the actress is not keen on the project as she wants to be paired up with other Bollywood stars as well. If this report is true, then Asin may not be seen in the Bollywood version of Kaavalan.
